This Privacy Policy relates to the Website only. It does not refer to any other websites – including websites you may visit through links in the Website (Third Party Websites), which are provided for your ease of use only. Third Party Websites are not under our control and we are not the Personal Data Controller in respect of these Third Party Websites; we maintain no responsibility or liability to the collection and/or processing of personal data by such Third Party Websites; and we make no warranty or representation, express or implied, regarding such Third Party Websites. Your entry to, use of, interaction with and reliance on Third Party Websites, their products, services or content is strictly your responsibility and at your expense only.

2. Personal Data voluntarily submitted – Purpose
We will only collect and process Personal Data voluntarily submitted by you and only for the purpose of circulating our newsletter and associated content, including news about the works, exhibitions and events of the artist, Beverly Barkat (Newsletter); for performance of a contract with you, or in order to take certain steps at your request or where processing your Personal Data is necessary for our legitimate interests. You are not legally obligated to provide us with your personal information. If you wish to receive our Newsletter, you will be required to submit or upload your email address in a designated form in the Website. Your email address is required to enable you to receive news about the works, the exhibitions and the events of the artist Beverly Barkat on a regular basis. For the avoidance of doubt, the Newsletter may include informational material, such as pictures or photographs of the artist’s works and of her exhibitions, catalogues, etc.

The submission or uploading of your Personal Data for the purpose of receiving the Newsletter is optional and voluntary. If you do not submit or submit wrong Personal Data, you will not be able to receive the Newsletter and, consequently, you will not be informed about the activities of the artist or the Personal Data Controller.

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter service and stop receiving our Newsletter at any time, simply by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link included in each email that you receive from us.

Should you not click the “Unsubscribe” link, it is assumed that you agree to the use and processing of your personal information for the abovementioned purpose.

3. Personal Data automatically collected – Navigation data; Cookies; Social networks; Links
Navigation data :

The information systems and the software procedures through which we operate our Website, normally automatically collect some Personal Data implicitly transmitted during any use of the Internet (Internet Traffic Data). Internet Traffic Data cannot be directly associated with the Website user. However, Internet Traffic Data may allow the identification of the user when processed or associated with data stored by third parties (such as IP addresses, domain names of the users’ computers, other parameters relating to the operating system and to the users’ IT environment and many others).

The Personal Data Controller implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the confidentiality of the Internet Traffic Data. Internet Traffic Data are stored by the Personal Data Controller only for the time strictly necessary in accordance with the Applicable Laws and this Privacy Policy and are then deleted or anonymized. After deletion, they may not be retrieved any further. We use anonymized data for research and analysis and statistical purposes, such as for determining the number of visitors to the Website; their geolocation. This anonymized data cannot be linked back to any user.

We use cookies while you visit the Website. The Website provides social buttons/widgets (Social Buttons). The Social Buttons reproduce the icons of social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).

The Social Buttons in the Website allow you to reach and interact, with a “click”, directly with social networks of the artist Beverly Barkat. No cookies are sent when you use the Social Buttons in the Website.

However, please note that social networks have their own privacy and cookie policies (dealing with the manner in which they collect and process personal data/information), over which we have no control, nor have any input. In the circumstances we recommend that you review these social networks’ privacy and cookie policies to understand your rights and obligations and those of the social network/s.

The Website may contain links to Third Party Websites, possibly through advertising. Such Third Party Websites are not owned, nor controlled, by the Personal Data Controller and may use their own cookies and other tracking mechanisms. Please always refer to the privacy and cookies policy of these Third Party Websites when using them.

We may also receive Personal Data about you from third parties, for example from publicly available sources.

4. How we process Personal Data
Your Personal Data are mainly processed through IT instruments. We always process your Personal Data fairly, lawfully and transparently in order to ensure their security and confidentiality.

5. How we store Personal Data
Your Personal Data are stored in dedicated databases owned by the Personal Data Controller. Such databases are secured in appropriate environments with access limited to authorized personnel only. We regularly conduct checks to make sure that the information collected is securely kept.

We have cyber security arrangements to minimize the risk of unauthorized access, improper use, alteration, destruction or accidental loss of your Personal Data. Your Personal Data will never be subject to dissemination to an indeterminate number of persons or entities.

We never sell your Personal Data to any third parties or external organizations/companies/entities.

In some cases, some of the processes we use may involve Personal Data’s being transferred outside Israel and the European Economic Area (EEA), for example where our data processor’s servers are located outside Israel or the EEA.

If you access our Website or submit your Personal Data to us while you are outside Israel or the EEA, your Personal Data may be transferred outside Israel or the EEA, in order to comply with our obligations under the Terms and Privacy Policy.

If we do transfer your Personal Data outside Israel or the EEA, it will only be done on one of the following lawful bases:

8. Your rights

You have the right to have your Personal Data deleted or anonymized from our systems, at any time, and to obtain rectification or deletion of your Personal Data or to impose restrictions on their processing.

In order to submit a request exercising any of these rights, you will need to provide adequate proof of identity such as a copy of your identity document, passport, birth certificate or driving license before your request will be processed. Please be as clear as possible about the information you are seeking, as this will help us respond to your request more efficiently and timeously. Once we have all the requisite information, we will provide a response within one month.

Please note that these rights are not absolute and requests may be refused where exceptions apply.

This Privacy Policy is effective from June 2021.

We may revise this Privacy Policy, from time to time, and in our sole discretion, without prior notice to you. We will post the revised version of this Privacy Policy on the Website. As you will not be notified of such changes, please regularly check our Privacy Policy. The revised Privacy Policy will have immediate effect, once posted on the Website and any continued use of the Website will constitute your explicit and informed consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy as it may be amended or revised, from time to time.
